Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Nairobi – Lake Bogoria
Early morning pick up from Boulevard Hotel or another Nairobi hotel, then depart for Lake Bogoria, arriving in time for lunch and check-in. In the afternoon, visit the famous hot springs and geothermal features. Lake Bogoria is renowned for large flocks of flamingos and excellent bird watching. Wildlife may include buffalo, zebra, cheetah, baboon, warthog, caracal, spotted hyena, impala and dik-dik.
Day 2
Lake Bogoria – Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive along the lakeshore to view flamingos, pelicans and other water birds. Look out for white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, waterbucks and other African wildlife.
Day 3
Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast, then drive along the Great Rift Valley, passing Mount Longonot en route to Masai Mara. Enjoy game viewing on the way to camp and an afternoon safari with chances to see giraffes, elephants, monkeys, leopards, lions, gazelles and many bird species.
Day 4
Full Day Masai Mara National Reserve
Spend the whole day viewing wildlife in Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Search for the Big Five and other wildlife including wildebeest, zebras, cheetahs and gazelles.
Day 5
Full Day Masai Mara National Reserve
Enjoy another full day in Masai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives, exploring different sections of the reserve and increasing the chances of observing predators, herbivore herds and the Big Five.
Day 6
Masai Mara – Lake Naivasha
Enjoy an early morning game drive, then depart after breakfast for Lake Naivasha. In the afternoon, enjoy an optional boat trip at extra cost to view hippos and birds. Later, visit Hell’s Gate National Park for game viewing and an opportunity to cycle through its dramatic landscape.
Day 7
Lake Naivasha – Amboseli National Park
Depart after breakfast for Amboseli via Nairobi and Maasai country. On arrival, enjoy game viewing en route to the lodge and an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is home to elephants, wildebeest, buffaloes, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, monkeys and many rare birds, with possible Mount Kilimanjaro views.
Day 8
Full Day Amboseli National Park
Spend the whole day exploring Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. The park is famous for large elephant herds and magnificent Mount Kilimanjaro views. An optional Maasai village visit can be arranged at extra cost.
Day 9
Amboseli – Tsavo West National Park
Enjoy an early morning game drive, then depart for Tsavo West. View Shetani Lava Flow and visit Mzima Springs, where hippos, crocodiles and fish may be seen. Later visit Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary and look out for elephants, giraffes, rhinos and varied birdlife.
Day 10
Tsavo West – Voyager Ziwani
Enjoy an early game drive, then depart for Voyager Ziwani. In the afternoon, join an escorted nature walk with a naturalist. After dinner, depart for a night game drive to observe grazing hippos and other nocturnal wildlife.
Day 11
Voyager Ziwani – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
After breakfast, depart for Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary and Sarova Salt Lick Game Lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive through the sanctuary with opportunities to see elephants, buffaloes, gazelles and other wildlife.
Day 12
Taita Hills – Tsavo East National Park
Enjoy an early game drive, then depart for Tsavo East. In the afternoon, explore one of Kenya’s largest protected areas and look out for red elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, buffaloes, waterbucks, impalas and many bird species.
Day 13
Tsavo East – Nairobi Airport / Hotel
Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast, then depart for Nairobi. Lunch will be served in Nairobi or along the way depending on the schedule. Arrive in the late afternoon and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Nairobi hotel.
